Expression of Interest Calibration Accreditation Advisory Committee

18. 04. 10

The Calibration Accreditation Advisory Committee (CAL AAC) has acknowledged the need for additional technical representation on the committee and is seeking expressions of interest from individuals with technical expertise in the following disciplines:

  • Chemical Metrology;
  • Acoustics and Vibration;
  • High Voltage and High Current Electrical Metrology.

The request for a technical expert in Chemical Metrology accounts for the transfer of the Chemical Calibrations from the previous Chemical Testing Field (previous classes of test 7.75, 7.70.03, etc.). A Technical Assessor or AAC member of the former Chemical Testing Field is sought.

Applicants are expected to have:

  • good industry knowledge of the users of calibration services;
  • demonstrated commitment to the principles of accreditation; and
  • had exposure to the NATA accreditation process.

The CAL AAC is established to provide input to NATA’s Calibration field of accreditation in a way that represents the interests of accredited facilities and the broader community.

The term of appointment for new members is five years and meetings of the Committee are held every 12 to 24 months. The next meeting is scheduled for Early 2019. Further information regarding involvement on the CAL AAC may be obtained from the document “Role of the AAC, Chairman and Members” which can be viewed on our website under About NATA > Structure > Technical Committees.

Expressions of interest detailing the candidate’s experience, including a full resume, should be forwarded by 4th May 2018 to:
