Senior Learning and Development Officer

The National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA) is a not for profit organisation that operates Australia’s laboratory accreditation system with over 3,000 accredited facilities.  In support of its accreditation activities, NATA’s Training Services Group offers a variety of laboratory management training courses throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

NATA is seeking to appoint an additional member to its training team.  This is a full time position based in our Sydney office. The successful candidate will have previous training experience and a high level of presentation skills as well as science, laboratory testing, internal audits and/or quality management experience. A Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training and experience in international laboratory standards would be an advantage but are not essential. 

Core functions include:

  • Delivery of public and commissioned training courses throughout Australia. There is also potential for overseas travel;
  • Development of course materials;
  • Contextualisation and augmentation of existing course materials;
  • Delivery of webinars;
  • Grading of assessments;
  • Participation in course reviews and assessment validation and moderation.

Additional Requirements include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in course area/s;
  • Current industry experience and knowledge; 
  • Attention to detail; and 
  • Effective interpersonal, oral and written skills.  

An attractive total remuneration package commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience will be negotiated.

Permanent Australian Residency is a pre-requisite for this position.

Accreditation Administration Officer

  • Full-time - maternity leave contract role up to 14 July 2018

National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA) is a membership based not- for- profit organisation. We are the peak body of accreditation in Australia and have been operating Australia's laboratory accreditation system for 70 years.  We have approximately 200 staff nationwide. Our head office is in Sydney and we have offices in all mainland capital cities.  

We have a maternity leave vacancy for a full-time position (up to 10 months) in our Sydney Office in Rhodes. 

We are seeking an Accreditation Administration Officer to join our administration team that supports a team of professional staff.  We are looking for a person who is well organised, efficient, a self-starter with attention to detail, and high energy levels.

This is a rare and ideal opportunity for administration personnel to join a membership based national organisation which undertake activities in the national and public interest.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Strong administrative background;
  • Clear customer service orientation;
  • Ability to deal with routine correspondence and administrative tasks without supervision;
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written);
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft packages; and
  • Ability to coordinate tasks and administer clerical duties.

Salary and Conditions:  Standard work hour is a 37.5 hrs week. We offer a competitive salary package that includes employer contribution to superannuation scheme, normal Award benefits, and an excellent work environment.
