Technical Assessor Development Program (TADP)

Untrained Assessors

Assessors will have received invitations to attend one of the many TADP sessions being conducted by NATA. If you have not been able to attend one of these sessions as yet, we still have many dates scheduled nationally. As you are aware, part of the commitment of being a NATA assessor includes participating in the mandatory course within two years of appointment.

Assessors who were granted "Recognition of Prior Learning" (RPL) by a NATA Field/Program Manager are not necessarily required to attend a TADP session, however, it is still recommended for them to do so as a refresher. Attendance information is noted on an individual's record. We would therefore like to strongly encourage all those assessors who receive letters of invitation to our assessor training courses to attend over the coming months.

The one day general course is designed for all technical assessors involved in any of our accreditation programs; Inspection Accreditation, Proficiency Testing Scheme Providers, Reference Materials Producers as well as our main group, the Laboratory Accreditation Program. There are also specific one day courses for some accreditation programs.

As always, there is an open invitation extended to all registered NATA technical assessors to attend a TADP as a refresher at any time. If you wish to do so, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  to arrange your invitation, as attendance is by invitation only. Numbers are usually limited and new (untrained) assessors have priority, but we welcome the valuable input and anecdotes from return participants.
