NATA is now providing appropriately accredited laboratories with a SARS-CoV-2 Statement of Accreditation which may be issued with the test report as evidence of their capabilities.

NATA/RCPA accredited laboratories have demonstrated through peer assessment that they meet internationally recognized standards for laboratory practice to provide you with added assurance.

NATA/RCPA accreditation is site-specific but NATA has become aware that some Statements of Accreditation have been issued incorrectly from sites not having the necessary SARS-CoV-2 virus accreditation. If in doubt, the validity of any Statement of Accreditation can be checked via the ‘Find Organisation’ tab on the NATA website.

Airport Testing

There are currently no NATA-Accredited testing facilities at Australian airports. As such, NATA recommends that passengers for international flights to countries requiring a negative test result from a PCR test or a serology test, plan ahead and use the services of laboratories that are NATA-accredited.
