What is the NATA Excellence Award?
The NATA Excellence Award acknowledges organisations that have made outstanding contributions to the quality and reliability of accredited processes. The award recognises innovations that have led to significantly improved technical capabilities, enhanced operational efficiencies, and set new standards of excellence. With more refined and cohesive criteria and categories in 2025, the award showcases initiatives that have and will continue to create a lasting and positive impact – benefiting industries, the scientific and technical landscape and communities across Australia. The NATA Excellence Award is a celebration of NATA Member organisations who are shaping the future and inspiring progress across the nation.

Category 1
Quality and Reliability Enhancement
CRITERIA:
Significant Contributions to Accreditation: Recognising significant contributions that enhance the quality and reliability of accredited processes and services.
Innovative Practices in Accreditation: Emphasising innovative approaches that surpass traditional practices.
Continuous Improvement Culture: Demonstrating a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement in technical infrastructure and accredited processes.
Category 2
Advancements and Innovations in Accredited Activities
CRITERIA:
Strengthened Capabilities:
Highlighting strengthened capabilities with improvements in precision, accuracy, and overall effectiveness.
Innovative Methodologies:
Recognising organisations that introduce innovative methodologies that set new standards in the industry.
Efficiency Improvements:
Demonstrating initiatives that increase efficiency and effectiveness in accredited activities.
Category 3
Positive Impact within Australia
CRITERIA:
Domestic Industries Improvement:
Emphasising contributions that improve domestic industries and local communities through advancements in technical infrastructure.
Scientific and Technical Landscape Enhancement:
Showcasing initiatives with tangible benefits to Australia’s scientific and technical landscape.
Important Information
- Applications close on April 24, 2025.
- Finalists will be notified and announced by May 30, 2025.
- The Award will be presented at the Accreditation Matters Celebration Dinner on July 30, 2025, at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney.
- The winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize and a $1,000 voucher toward training with NATA Education.
- Promotion within NATA News and all our social media platforms.
