NATA has been reviewing accreditations that use the Becke Line method (AS/NZS 2009 Appendix I), and it has become apparent the metrological traceability of the current method being used in our accredited facilities needs improvement.
As a result, NATA has sent information to accredited facilities performing this test explaining why evidence of traceability is required and provides consideration for a range of approaches that could be taken.
Base on this, our accredited facilities will need evidence of traceability for this method in place by 14 April, 2023.
