NATA has prioritised working with the Department of Health, relevant organisations and our members to fulfil the national accreditation needs for COVID-19 testing.
In an unprecedented time frame and without compromising our technical rigour, we have accredited more than 160 sites.
The high demand for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) resulted in NATA also accrediting CSIRO for testing surgical masks and accrediting the National Measurement Institute, Australia (NMI) for testing hand sanitiser.
With globally recognised accreditation, NATA’s role in the public interest is assessing the technical competence and integrity of organisations offering testing, calibration, measurement, examination and inspection services.
