The OECD Advisory Document on GLP Data Integrity is designed to provide guidance for test facilities or test sites that conduct GLP studies.
One of the fundamental purposes of the Principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) is to ensure the quality and integrity of test data related to non-clinical safety studies.
GLP Principles help ensure that studies submitted to regulatory authorities, to notify or register chemicals, are of sufficient quality, rigour and are verifiable. They also ensure confidence in the quality and integrity of the data and being able to reconstruct activities performed during the conduct of non-clinical safety studies.
With the goal to promote a risk-based approach to the management of data, the OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Data Integrity is a managerial quality control system that covers the organisational process and conditions under which non-clinical health and environmental studies are conducted.
