Dr Bruce Warrington
NMI maintains peak measurement standards for Australia and works with researchers, industry, and the community to deliver accurate and reliable measurements.
A graduate of the University of Otago in New Zealand, he completed a DPhil in atomic physics research at Oxford in the UK and worked with CSIRO in Sydney on the development of atomic clocks.
He has been with NMI since it was formed in 2004, working in a variety of roles before taking on the responsibilities of Chief Metrologist in September 2017 and CEO in May 2018.
Bruce will be part of an esteemed group of CEOs from Australia’s Technical Infrastructure Alliance (TIA) that includes the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA), the National Measurement Institute (NMI), Standards Australia and the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ)
Bruce will also be providing a keynote presentation.
