NATA has recently completed a comprehensive review of its fee structures including for its Sleep Disorders Services (SDS) program.
For current SDS facilities, you will have received detailed information on the fee changes on April 7.
The aim of this fee review was to standardise and provide equity across our various accreditation programs for the fees NATA charges and provide transparency for Members.
As a result of this review, from 1 July 2025, the current fee-for-service model used for the SDS program will move to an annual fee model bringing it into line with all other NATA accreditation programs.
Why is it changing?
The annual fee model will standardise and provide a scalable model of fees charged to facilities (i.e. Members), reduce complexity and provide more transparency for Members.
The change will also ensure equity across all NATA’s accreditation programs bringing the SDS Program in line with the annual fee model for our other accreditation programs.
NATA acknowledges the change to an annual fee model will impact SDS Members currently on a fee-for-service model.
Transition to the annual fee
Introduction of the annual fee model will be phased in over a two-year period.
New Members or existing Members applying for accreditation of a new site on or after 1 July 2025 will be subject to annual fees.
Transition of existing Members to the new annual fee model will be based on assessment due dates for each individual site as follows:
- Sites with an assessment visit due date prior to 1 July 2025 will be charged under the current fee-for-service model, transitioning to the new annual fee model from 1 July 2026;
- Sites with an assessment visit due date between 1 July 2025 and 30 June 2026 will be placed on the annual fee model from 1 July 2025;
- All sites with an assessment visit due date post 30 June 2026 will be placed on the annual fee model from 1 July 2026.
Further communication will follow for each individual Member outlining the transition arrangements for each of their site(s). Should you have any queries about these changes please contact your NATA Client Co-ordinator in the first instance or email annualfee@nata.com.au.
