NATA has adapted its operations throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to continue to provide its accreditation and training services in a safe manner, and in accordance with local restrictions as they apply.
As COVID-19 restrictions continue to change around the country, any changes to how we continue to provide our services will be published to the COVID-19 Updates page of our website.
All NATA employees may either work from home or in the NATA office in accordance with local restrictions. When in our offices all staff comply with our COVID safe plan for that location.
Our Offices
We continue to operate our offices where possible in accordance with local restrictions. This means a reduced capacity at some offices such that activities normally held onsite will be held virtually or may need to be postponed. Currently, our Melbourne office remains closed under the Victorian Government’s Stage Four Restrictions.
While our other four offices remain open, at this time we ask you only attend one of our offices should you be unable to complete your business by other means.
Please note that should you need to attend one of our offices, you will be required to comply with our COVID safe plan for that location, including:
Sanitising hands on entry
Adhering to social distancing and room occupancy signs as displayed
Providing your name and contact details
Keeping time at the office to a minimum
Wearing a face mask if required to do so
Our Services
Accreditation
NATA continues to provide its accreditation services to new and existing clients by utilising in-office and remote assessment delivery methods in lieu of on-site assessments where necessary.
NATA will undertake any on-site assessment activities, where these can be undertaken safely and in compliance with any local restrictions. Our ability to do so is impacted by our current policy not to have our staff or volunteer technical assessors travel interstate for this purpose. We will advise our clients as and when there are changes to this policy.
Where it is possible for a NATA assessment team to conduct an on-site assessment, this will only take place subject to the following:
The assessment activity being able to be conducted by a lead assessor(s) and technical assessor(s) located in the State or Territory in which the facility is located
Both the facility and the assessment team (Lead Assessor(s) and Technical Assessors(s)) agreeing to and being comfortable with conducting the on-site visit
Government guidelines pertaining to social distancing being in place (including travel in separate cars)
The client providing PPE to the assessment team as required.
In preparation for any on site assessment activities your NATA Lead Assessor will seek information from you regarding any COVID-19 related protocols in place at your facility. Our assessment team members will comply with your on-site requirements in this regard as a condition of undertaking this work at your facility.
Existing clients should contact their Client Coordinator in the first instance. New clients should refer to the Contact Us page of our website or call 1800 621 666 for assistance.
Please note, NATA will not be providing on-site assessment services to clients located outside Australia until further notice.
Training
NATA’s Training Services Group continues to offer a range of courses delivered using virtual platforms. For details of the courses available, please refer to the COVID-19 Training Services Update on the Training Services page of our website.
Looking Ahead
We are pleased to continue to adapt the delivery of our services in the national interest, and in response to the evolving situation. We remain committed to operating safely and in compliance with relevant restrictions.
