Louise Calder, Chair of the OECD Working Party on GLP, and Liz Moane, NATA Lead Accreditation Specialist, recently attended the 15th OECD GLP Inspectors’ Training Course in Montreal in October.
The meeting was hosted by The Standard Council of Canada and 80 international delegates attended.
The event is held biannually to ensure GLP inspectors learn about the latest innovations, best practices, and encourage harmonisation across monitoring authorities. It comprises lectures and discussions focusing on strategies and practical aspects of GLP inspections as well as parallel workshops.
The inspection of Information Technology Systems and the newly declassified OECD GLP Document on Data Integrity was highlighted.
Louise presented a lecture on Test item and ran an associated role play.
After the event, Louise travelled to Buenos Aires to act as the Lead Evaluator for the on-site evaluation of the GLP compliance monitoring program which is administered by the Argentinian Organisation for Accreditation (OAA).
The visit was conducted over 4 days and included a review of the Argentina GLP program as well as observing the conduct of a GLP inspection by OAA staff.
A report on the visit will be prepared for the next OECD Working Party Meeting on GLP in March 2023.
