Our highly skilled, volunteer Technical Assessors conduct these assessments under the leadership of a NATA Lead Assessor.

Course overview

NATA offer all volunteer Technical Assessors access to a complimentary development course to ensure their skills and knowledge keep up with the needs of our members and any changes to Standards and components of accreditation.

What you will learn

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • describe NATA’s role as an Accreditation Body
  • explain the purpose of assessment in accreditation
  • identify potential conflict of interest situations
  • describe different types of assessments and when they occur in the accreditation cycle
  • identify the NATA Lead Assessor and Technical Assessor roles and responsibilities before, during and after an assessment
  • prepare effectively for a NATA assessment
  • conduct on-site and document-based assessment using different evidence gathering techniques
  • prepare required assessment records
  • work collaboratively with the NATA assessment team
  • communicate your assessment findings
  • identify nonconformances and potential accreditation outcomes
  • participate in assessment meetings
  • complete any post-assessment activities required
  • access administrative and logistical / travel information to ensure you are well prepared and supported during an assessment

This course is for NATA Technical Assessors.

Course delivery

The TADP is a highly interactive experience where participants have the opportunity to be involved in group discussions, exercises and workshop-based activities.

The program is available throughout the year across Australia in both face-to-face and virtual format.

Course length & cost

The course duration is 1-day for both face-to-face and virtual delivery.
