NATA assessment date for ISO 15189:2022
While still dependent on the adoption of AS ISO 15189:2023 by Standards Australia, NATA’s projected introduction date for assessment against ISO 15189:2022 is planned for 01 August 2023.
From this date, facilities will be assessed against the revised Standard when their assessments fall due.
Transition Policy & Gap Analysis
In preparation for the introduction of the revised 15189 Standard, NATA will soon publish a Transition Policy and Gap Analysis outlining the transition process and differences between the 2012 and 2022 versions.
Prior to the formal introduction of the revised Standard in August, NATA also intends holding information sessions for members and assessors on the transition.
We will provide updates on these sessions once dates are confirmed.
Comprehensive Training for ISO 15189:2022 Standard
NATA Education is now running a comprehensive training course on ISO 15189:2022 for Member and non-Member organisations in both face-to-face and virtual formats.
The 2-day course is all encompassing and is not intended to primarily identify the differences between the old and revised 15189 Standard.
It provides relevant personnel with a key understanding of the requirements of the revised Standard, how it is applied, the controls required to manage risk and the tools needed to support a successful laboratory operation.
