NATA is an association of members, where each accredited facility is a member of NATA. Clause 3(e) of NATA’s Constitution states that one of NATA’s objectives is to promote member participation and representation. To facilitate this, NATA has established a forum of elected members’ representatives to act as a conduit between executive management and members.
Each state (the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales have been combined as a single region) is represented by up to two members’ representatives at any one time, determined by the number of accredited facilities in each State or Territory. Under current arrangements, members’ representatives are appointed for a four year term. The members’ representatives meet periodically with members of NATA’s Board and executive management.
Members’ representatives may seek feedback from members, facilitate engagement with members, and inform NATA’s management of issues of which they are aware or act as an alternative interface between members and NATA.
Feedback received via members’ representatives may provide opportunities for continuous improvement, and inform strategic planning and policy development. As such it is valued by NATA. Feedback provided by members is usually tabled by members’ representatives during their meetings with NATA’s Board and management where it is openly discussed. Where appropriate, NATA’s management will provide a formal response and may request clarification or further information regarding the feedback.
