Chemical Testing Accreditation Advisory Committee

Dr Vyt Garnys retired from the Committee in March 2014.  Vyt as he is known to us all, joined the Committee in 1999 and was appointed to the position of Chair in 2008.  During this period Vyt also served on the Inorganics Technical Group and he remains a member of the Mining and Metals Technical Group.  

During this period considerable progress was made in the development of accreditation criteria and Vyt’s enthusiasm as Chair was instrumental in bringing about these changes.  NATA’s staff are very grateful to the leadership shown by Vyt and wish him well for the future.

Mr Frank Fleer has been appointed Chair of the Committee from March 2014.

Dr Clarrie Ng retired from the Committee in March 2014.  Clarrie joined the Committee in 2008 to provide expertise in the food chemistry area.  Clarrie was also a member and Chair of the Food Technical Group joining in 1991. NATA’s staff wish Clarrie well in his future endeavours.

Dr Lindsey Mackay has been appointed to the Committee for a further three years from March 2014.  Dr Mackay provides expertise in the area of chemical metrology.

Dr Trevor Lorman joined the Committee in March 2014 to provide expertise in the area of food chemistry.

Mr Simon Mills joined the Committee in March 2014 to provide expertise in the area of general chemistry.
